What is Party Finances?
Party Finances is a customizable solution to recording and reporting political donations and expenditures. Developed by a County Party Treasurer, the software allows for single entry of contributors and payees, custom reports for meetings and information, custom budget creation, instant lookup of contributor balances, easy edits, deposit and checking balances, scan and storage of receipts and checks. Party Finances eliminates the need to have multiple accounting software products (Excel*, Drop Box, Quicken or Quick Books) by incorporating all of these products into a single cloud based interface that allows treasurers to enter data one time and saving hudreds of hours of mundane, redundant data entry. Finally, Party Finances is customizable to your individual and/or local reporting requirements. We work closely with State, County and Federal resource agencies to stay up to date on reporting requirements. Party finance forms are also customizable so that you can present financial reports that are specific to your campaign or party needs.
Versitile Solutions for Individual Campaigns and Parties
Treasurers have a massive financial responsability whether they are working for a Party Organization or an individual campaign. Regular reporting requirements present a unique set of issues for volenteers and are often the cause of unecessary fines. Party Finances is actively working with the Secretaries of State and party leadership from all sides of the aisle to make the accounting and reporting process seemless for each unique state set of requirements.
A Community of Treasurers
Treasurers are also responsible for audits, budgets, distribution of funds, collection of contributions, presentation of financials, data entry, balance sheets, account balances and reporting. No two treasurers work the same way. As elected officers, treasurers are often thrown into positions that they may or may not be experienced. Party Finances is a valuable resource for new and existing treasurers. There are no party lines with Party Finances, we are here to help through our FAQ page, tutorials, blog and guest blog posts, fundraising and campaigning suggestions from experienced local, State, and Federal Party and Campaign Treasurers. We are a non-partisan support center where we can share common concerns and solutions for our volenteer community.
What Makes Party Finances Different
Party Finances was founded by a volenteer County Party Treasurer with no previous accounting background beyond a business degree, excellent math skills, and a desire to build a better system of gathering and deciminating data. As a new treasurer, the founder was spending 6 to 8 hours per week entering data and preparing reports. With the current version of Party Finances, weekly time spent entering data or preparing reports is less than an hour on a busy week. Party Finances has made this volenteer job managable and greatly reduced the time and stress involved in State and Party reporting.
